Odyssea French School offers a multimedia library which will enable you to:
- have access to newspapers, magazines, touristic and cultural books
- have access to the Internet
- work independently with CD Roms
- borrow books
Guided visits of Montpellier:
In order to get more familiar with the historical center of Montpellier, you will get a guided visit with one of our French teachers.
Civilization Conferences:
These conferences provide an introduction to Contemporary France: Panorama of political and cultural history of France, French institutions and political life, the press and the media, the educational system, France and Europe, French economy, contemporary French literature, sociology…
Workshops:
Twice a week the workshops will help you to reinforce precise points such as: French grammar, spelling, pronunciation, and conjugation. You will also be able to improve oral comprehension and expression with: French songs, role plays and French expressions.
A regional wine and cheese tasting will help the students as well as the staff get to know each other and create a friendly atmosphere.
French culture immersion
In order to encourage your linguistic and cultural immersion in the French life:
- On the day of your arrival we will give you an "info pack" which will contain information on "what to do and see" in Montpellier.
- Depending on the students' requests, we will organize: "apéritif" and restaurant outings, bar nights, international nights, cinema, theater, picnics...
- Upon request, some French courses can take place outside: in a coffe shop, typical French market, museum...
- And most importantly, the friendly atmosphere in the French school will encourage you to express yourself in French from the very beginning of your stay.
